"Hidden in Plain Sight: the Basques" is an exhibit produced by The Basque Museum and Cultural Center for the Ellis Island National Monument Museum.
"Hidden in Plain Sight: the Basques" is a unique opportunity to honor Basque immigrant ancestors and the struggles, hardships and uncertainties they endured in immigrating to the United States from the Basque Country.
"Hidden in Plain Sight: the Basques" provides an insider's look into the riveting journey of thousands of Basque men, women and children. The exhibit explores the language, customs, traditions and values of the Basque people as well as the lure that America held for them.
